Yes.

Just, Could not pick only one.

It was also born from a life story, like all my songs,

But this one echoes with the name of my friend,

Videl Diaz Mariscal.

I dedicate the song to Videl,

and to his #community, our #sisters and #brothers.

I’m releasing it with the other “singles” ahead of the album, as a shoutout / love letter to “The #Dreamers” here and every-where.

To the Dreamer in your own soul.

In Memory of Videl Diaz Mariscal,

A “Saint” i met in the “ #CityofAngels ”

and

for Videl’s brothers + sisters

Videl is gone too soon at a local hospital, …

where I sang him this song on his deathbed.

A moment for which I am grateful.

Videl grew gardens for an apartment complex in the “city of the angels”

He planted a white Lily on his last Christmas here.

Videl was ALWAYS smiling … his eyes smiled even when his mouth looked serious … his energy was glowing with that very special light.

Besides the gardening, he also cleaned the bathrooms + swept the grounds there too,

and

Videl was my friend.

When he told me they had put him on some Meds, he sheepishly showed me the bottle … I am not a doctor, but I perceived instantly that this was not a good sign … personally I try to maintain health with food and healthy habits. Of course Videl was old enough to be my grandpa or even great grandpa, but … still, I could do nothing to interfere with his doctors’ prescription … and frankly, I doubt he had health insurance, so I was clueless about what was going on … OH, and he barely spoke English, so … we communicated mostly non-verbally ….

I still wish I could have saved his life some-how … ctd ~>

You may know that it’s a jungle out there 2 #Distribute original Content , but also, parts of original works are easily poached by large+small media daily.
It’s subtle, ideas can b cannibalized + applied to 1 project this year + other parts next year… no attribution, no compensation.

Ideas + expressions ARE literally, life-blood to the artist … in cases of theft, … often nobody will believe the artist … or a battle must be waged against high powered lawyers + big money… or … against those with the #chutzpah to just plain lie … Worst of all…
… someday,
that artist may cease to believe in themselves.
That Harms Us All

#HELLYEAH there R ways 2 Defend against + Reclaim theft. Nobody should shame an artist away from #righteous defense.

Yeah there’s a few bad apples who wrongly sue, but u can b sure those r not artists of anything but some “con.” It’s possible 4 artists 2 come up with similar ideas + Communication is the What + How to every Why ~ ~~~

Ideas + expressions ARE literally, life-blood to the artist … in cases of theft, … often nobody will believe the artist … or a battle must be waged against high powered lawyers + big money… or … against those with the #chutzpah to just plain lie … Worst of all…
… someday,
that artist may cease to believe in themselves.
That Harms Us All

#HELLYEAH there R ways 2 Defend against + Reclaim theft. Nobody should shame an artist away from #righteous defense.

Yeah there’s a few bad apples who wrongly sue, but u can b sure those r not artists of anything but some “con.” It’s possible 4 artists 2 come up with similar ideas + Communication is the What + How to every Why ~ ~~~
