Baby Steps in Building my own Tiny Film, Music and Publishing Studio is a series of life-changing and life-affirming lessons.
We shot 98 percent of the film over a year ago, and edited 90 percent of it too … with an all female production team.
As Girls / Women have often been relegated to not only lesser pay, but also less involvement in both film and music production, … originally I wanted the “music team” to also consist of women.
But after a year of scheduling and other conflicts with some of the female musician applicants, I had to admit, that it was necessary for me to read resumes / listen to more Demos … and many of them were from men of course!
This brought me to realize, that my original good intentions to hire / empower more women in music, was in no way, an attempt to “exclude” men … My Music Team is composed of BOTH AWESOME male AND female musicians … and …. once again … True Diversity rules … TheCaliLiliIndies™
