Under The Civil Rights Rainbow™

“She” Completes the “HerStory”

Thus Embracing “Femme” in Every One.
I heard the words : “Sisters” … and “SisterHood,”
Equal,
To the words “Brother” and “BrotherHood,”
Celebrating
Every Gender Identity
Every Cultural Heritage
On a Never Ending Spectrum
Of Love Equals Love …
I Listen

Having Survived
An Abusive Childhood
I never take
The Gift Of Love
For Granted.
I  have always “ identified, ”
first and foremost,  as  :   
ARTIST. 
When I accepted myself as a 
Truli*Indie™ 
Film & Music Maker,           
I sorted out my challenges 
by writing my
Declaration of IndiePendance™©CaliLili™  
exploring the relationship between 
Society and the Artist.  
We need each other, and together 
we can SustainTheARTist™
I built my Studio, based upon my Methodology.
The Sale of my Designs, helps me Sustain 
my FeMtO™StudiO 
+ 
FeMPoWorD™ Team 
So we can continue to tell 
Truli*Indie stories that are 
“ HandMade 2 Make a Difference™”

I am lucky to have found
the missing piece of my own personal puzzle, 
when I realized that I was in Love with 
both :
My Male HeteroSexual Life + Producing Partner
(whom I married at a very young age)

and also

My Lesbian Girlfriend at that time.

(whom I met after getting married).

When I first realized this,

I felt  :   ashamed.

I researched this “condition”

as though I was mentally ill.

Luckily, with much soul searching,

much researching

and much love and support from 

My Male Partner, 

My New GirlFriend (my first gf + i had separated)

and my friends,

I found my way out of that Place of Shame.

The Fact that All My Girlfriends have been

African American allowed me insight into

why I  have always felt so close

to African American Culture,

And My Interracial Relationships with 

My Girlfriends, also provided insight

Into Why I feel so close to

The movements that are

“Named” :

#BlackLivesMatter

+

#ProChoice

Even tho I don’t care for Labels

When Labels are used to divide us ! 

I guess I am personally

“ Label Free " 

Though in many ways, 

I would lean toward calling myself a "Lesbian,”

And I know that some Lesbians would take issue with this.

Ah, That Place of Shame,

That Place,

Where Some Communities, Societies / Cultures 

relegate those who are honest about 

their personal growth.

Let us, 

In Solidarity with those who are TRULY repressed,

Let GO of our Needless Prejudice,

Let Us show the way to TRUE #DIVERSITY 

In the #LGBTQ Community.

The #RainbowFlag is the BEST FLAG OF ALL

Let us Truly “Be The Change We Wish To See " 

And END the Discrimination that exists even 

within our own Rainbow Community,

If only in Acknowledgement of those of us

who suffer, anywhere.

Let us not be the cause of such suffering,

Love Is Indeed, Love.

For Anybody Who Feels Ashamed

This is about :  PERSONAL GROWTH

This is Cause for Celebration!

Not Shame.

It’s About LOVE. 

That’s it.

I didn’t have to leave,

I didn’t have to lose,

my dignity,

my family, 

my creative and life partnership,

my home,

and 

I didn’t have to lose my girlfriend,

or my friends.

Anything that I did lose,

needed to be lost.

I am happy + healthy in what is known as a 

"Mixed Orientation Life and Creative Partnership" 

with my Male Partner,

Who has ABSOLUTELY ZERO participation 

in my Very SEPARATE,

very exclusive, monogamous 

relationship with my girlfriend.

NO, he does NOT See Other Women.

NO This is NOT an "Open Marriage”

I got married Super Young

and as an over-achiever in school,

skipping grades, winning scholarships and awards,

I just never had the time to figure out my orientation.

My Male Partner is Much Older

+ Loves Me As I am. 

So Does My GF.

So Do My Friends.

~ ~ ~ 

The More “Me” I am, the More I Can Love Others.

Learning about this missing piece of me,

Helped me to literally “Grow Up" 

"Grow into” … me.

My Male Partner loves me, 

My Girlfriend loves me,

My Friends love me.

Of course I love them ! 

That’s WHY I was willing to go through

The Self Searching, the Soul Searching

I was Honest, no matter how HARD that was …

And  

I didn’t know I was missing out on this : 

“i love me too." 

Whew, 

Sometimes It’s Hard To Say, right ?

Learning about myself also helped me

find the missing pieces 

for the films, books + albums

I wrote WAY before I 

discovered my orientation ! 

And it’s "Coming Out” in my upcoming

Social Justice films, albums + books.
