In 2012 I woke to the alarming sound of a proverbial Election Train …
Having never paid much attention to politics — that imaginary “Train” was a political “coming of age” for me –
My worries are always best addressed through my work – so – I asked my all female production crew to join me on pausing pre-production of my feature length indie movie + album – “eVe N’god this female is not yet rated ™”© – a movie + soundtrack (my debut album) that would go on to be an Oscars 2020 Contender — in order to speak up for voting rights and for democracy …
We felt so very strongly — that this nation NEEDED President Obama … so we made this music video in the hopes we might contribute somehow …
Today – we hear that the GOP + Conservatives are once again actively rabidly attacking Democracy + CRUCIAL DEMOCRATIC and FAMILY VALUES :
voting rights, civil rights, human rights, nature, wildlife, sealife rights, clean water, clean air, economic justice, opportunity, education and even healthcare —
attacking decency
everywhere
in our beloved nation
and on our beloved Mother Earth
